Photo Event Information
PHOTO SUBMISSION DEADLINE: OCTOBER 1, 2008
There’s no set format for a “photo event”. As a photographer (amateur or professional), you have the right to form your event(s) as you see fit. Just let us know when and where and some basic information so we can help promote it. If you want to host an event but are not sure how you want to do it. here’s a couple ideas for you:
- Photo Day: Find a cool location that you can set up your equipment, open the “shoot” to the local public and snap pics of whoever shows up with their Mac. This is a great way to meet fellow Mac users and have some fun together in the process. Viva la social media! The downside is you run the risk of having a lot of semi-similar looking photos with the same background setting. But if you plan it right, you can probably work around that.
- Quickie One Offs: Post your contact info and location radius and have people contact you to schedule a shooting. You treat it like a small shoot and go to them (or a location of your choosing), snap a quick photo and you’re done! This is most likely the best way to get cool & creative photos but could lend itself to the most time consuming method.
We will leave it up to you as to what you want to charge (if at all) for these or any other types of events you want to do. All we ask is you let us know about them so we can post your contact info here. Once done, submit your photos for inclusion and we’ll get crackin on the design.
Feel free to ask any questions or help us brainstorm more ideas. This is a community exercise, we should all have fun! We can’t wait to see your pics. Happy shooting!
